The 2010's

The 2010’s were a decade of continued growth, reinvention, and excellence for The Schoolhouse. The decade saw the stepping down of Pamela Moller Kareman, and the hiring of Bram Lewis as Artistic Director (and later, our Producing Director). The Schoolhouse was home to twelve world premieres throughout the decade (and one English language premiere), and transferred four productions Off-Broadway. One of those transfers, Elaine Del Valle’s Brownsville Bred, was later adapted into a feature film, while Academy Award Nominee Jim Dale’s one man show, Just Jim Dale, made the reverse commute from the Roundabout Theatre on Broadway to The Schoolhouse. We were also home to many other titans of the theatrical world, like Robert Klein, Moni Yakim, Richard Maltby, Jr., and Jerry Lanning.
